Breath deep, close your eyes, become quiet, give thanks and praise and connect with God: the simple beginning for the use of a prayer bowl. Prayer bowls have been used for centuries to hold prayers or pictures of loved ones and then prayed upon. Inspired by rustic arts of ancient cultures, these bowls can be “cleansed” weekly, monthly, or seasonally by emptying. Burning of the prayers has also been performed at campfires or in similar manners, which allows the prayers to rise through smoke. Please use caution if performing this ceremony.
